Intern Experience
For eight weeks during the summer of 2023, I was a Post Production Intern at ITV America.
I absolutely enjoyed my time at ITVA. I met many kind and impressive people, and got first-hand experience with post production culture and workflow at the largest independent unscripted producer in the United States, ITV America.
I shadowed personnel from all phases of post production such as Post Manager, Assistant Editor, Offline Editor, Online Editor, and Colorist. Also met with development people, including Development Demo Editor.
I received hands-on experience with AE work in AVID Media Composer: linking, transcoding, syncing, stacking, grouping, and outputting.
I received hands-on experience with technical specs and deliverables documents like Timing Sheets and Chyron logs.
Day-to-day, I performed a range of tasks such as Trint transcriptions, music acquisition on iTunes and Soundminer, QC passes of digitized tapes, and data logging for shows like Love Island USA, Final Moments, Forged in Fire, One Deadly DM, and Love and Marriage: Huntsville.
I sat in on post management meetings.
